THE HOTGS ACCOUNTANT
Joseph Ndung'u serves as the Accountant to the Home of Good Shepherd. He is an undergraduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management: Accounting option. He is a Christian and is married.
The roles of the HOTGS Accountant roles are as follows:
- Preparation of the cheque request form for authorization by the Finance and Administration Officer.
- Outsourcing and purchasing of required items
- Preparation of payment vouchers for signing by the recipient
- Presentation of payment vouchers to the Head Accountant for cross-checking before
- Preparation of other vouchers
- Preparation of summarized spreadsheets expenditures for submission to the Head Accountant.
- Preparation of an analytical cashbook daily
- Acting as the final representative of the organization in terms of making payments and receiving income
- Supervising work done by hired casual workers and subordinate staff with cooperation with the Manager of the HOTGS
- Stocktaking of the available HOTGS items and making the purchases in due time
- Safeguarding and maintaining ALL HOTGS assets
