Joseph Ndung'u serves as the Accountant to the Home of Good Shepherd. He is an undergraduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management: Accounting option. He is a Christian and is married.

The roles of the HOTGS Accountant roles are as follows:

• Preparation of the cheque request form for authorization by the Finance and Administration Officer.
• Outsourcing and purchasing of required items
• Preparation of payment vouchers for signing by the recipient
• Presentation of payment vouchers to the Head Accountant for cross-checking before
• Preparation of other vouchers
• Preparation of summarized spreadsheets expenditures for submission to the Head Accountant.
• Preparation of an analytical cashbook daily
• Acting as the final representative of the organization in terms of making payments and receiving income
• Supervising work done by hired casual workers and subordinate staff with cooperation with the Manager of the HOTGS
• Stocktaking of the available HOTGS items and making the purchases in due time
• Safeguarding and maintaining ALL HOTGS assets
